Principles:

Office & Tech Services Staff:

Elizabeth Mann Our bookkeeper, responsibilities include accounts receivable/payable, inventory control, and reporting for the company. Liz has attended Polk Community College and Wesleyan College and is currently working on her B.A. in Business Administration from Florida Metropolitan University.

Mark Conner: Technical services, involved with a variety of support functions and is primarily is our lead technician in conducting on-site flow meter testing. Mark came to us with over fifteen years experience as a certified marine mechanic, and now is an important member of our technical services team.

Shannan Crosson: Technical services, handles most shipping/receiving functions. He assists with in-house and field service work. Shannan spent over five years serving our country in the U.S. Army and National Guard followed by another five years as a corrections officer.

John Paul Heston: Inside Sales/Customer Service. He has a Bachelor's degree from Barry University in Public Administration. John Paul is Charles's and Tim's nephew and is eager to learn the family business and eventually tackle an outside sales position..

Sonja Qualley: A key team player as our Sales & Marketing Support Specialist. Sonja also assists customers on the phone and provides administrative support. Sonja worked in the medical industry for several years and only recently joined Avanti on May 12th, 2008.

Richard Prince: Has many years experience in gas distribution and measurement and an Associates Degree in Electronics from Tampa Tech. Richard provides hands-on technical support for our gas meters, valves, regulators, instruments, and NJEX odorization systems. He also serves as one of our factory certified technicians in our on-site water meter testing program, and as many know is our resident BBQ chef!

Aaron Scallion: Technical Services, flow meter testing. Aaron served our country in the U.S. Army from 2001-2004, and is an asset to our on-site water meter testing program.

Claire Thomas: Our friendly voice on the phone, administrative support specialist, and assists with bookkeeping. Claire is a Wauchula, FL native and recently received her degree from Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, FL, in Organizational Management and minors in Marketing and Human Resources.

Mark Whalen: Is our Operations Supervisor and serves as our "utility" team member providing inside sales and service support as well as outside service and training, primarily for our electronic products. Mark came to us with 13 years of experience from a major meter manufacturer. He holds an associates degree in the computer electronics field.

Outside Sales Staff:

Tracy Blow: Tracy has a Business Management degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL and is our East Central Florida Sales Representative residing in the North Orlando area. She comes to Avanti with 15+ years experience working for a national distribution company.

John Corey: Has spent over twenty five years in the metering business with primary concentration on flow meters for utility and industrial applications. John joined Avanti from ABB where he worked in the United States, UK, and Africa, solving customers' metering challenges in over 100 countries throughout the world. John has a B.A. from Hiram College and MBA from the University of Miami, FL. John lives in Miami, FL and is not only our territory representative for South Florida but serves as our metering systems manager Statewide as well.

Seth Swanson: Seth joined Avanti in August 2007 as our new North Florida Sales Representative. Seth has a B.A. in Marketing and Transportation from Auburn University. He has 5 years experience in sales with Sysco, the North America leader of food service supplies and equipment. Seth resides in Tallahassee and manages the area from Gainesville to Jacksonville and West to Pensacola.

Curt Hasty: Curt joined Avanti in early 2005 and manages the Alabama and Georgia utility markets for Avanti's McCrometer/Water Specialties product line. Curt is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and has been in the water and wastewater industry since 1973. Curt resides in Birmingham, Alabama and is available via phone 205-249-6514 or email (please call for email address).

Jim Patton: Joined Avanti in September 2005 to manage our West Central Florida Sales Territory. Jim resides in Osprey, Florida and comes to Avanti with 33 years experience with a major meter manufacturer. Jim's fluid measurement knowledge is principally in the utility and commercial/industrial sectors having traveled the entire U.S. and Puerto Rico. He attended Missouri Southern and Southwest Missouri State. Jim is looking forward to working for Avanti and approaching his new territory via the rep channel.

Charles Devlin joined Avanti in 1991 after receiving his Business Management BS degree from the University of South Florida, Tampa. (Go Bulls!) Charles is now President of Avanti after having served as Central Florida Sales Rep and then Sales Manager.

Tim Devlin attended South Florida Community College and Polk Community College. He has been with us since 1986 and is our Vice-President of Operations, overseeing all of our services and support functions. Tim and his brother Charles are co-owners of the company.
