McCrometer Launches New Mag Meter Options

mcCrometer

McCrometer has officially unveiled a pair of new options for its electromagnetic flow meter offerings, aimed at improving the flexibility of its FPI Mag, Ultra Mag, and SPI Mag when it comes to application location while allowing its mag meters the ability to communicate directly with AMR and AMI devices including Itron Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) and AMI (Automated Metering Infrastructure) systems.

The first of these options is the Battery or Battery and Solar Powered Converter, allowing all McCrometer FPI Mag, Ultra Mag, and SPI Mag meters to be utilized without a connected power supply. The battery powered converter can last up to five years when used with its standard settings and it can be supplemented with a solar panel to further extend battery life. The converter is a highly convenient option for municipal, industrial, and agriculture customers requiring a flow measurement solution in remote applications that do not have access to power.

McCrometer’s second option is Smart Output technology, allowing customers to receive totalized flow data wirelessly through their existing AMI/AMR system, removing the need to visit the flow meter. Each and every one of McCrometer’s FPI Mag, Ultra Mag, and SPI Mag meters can seamlessly communicate with Sensus protocol  compatible devices or Itron AMI or AMR (Automated Meter Reading) systems. The company’s meters now have the most extensive availability of AMI/AMR compatible mag meters, capable of covering line sizes from 2”-138”.
