Water Meter Testing

In recent years, meter accuracy has become a "hot topic" among many of the Water Management Districts as well as other government agencies, assuring that the water being pumped form a ground or surface water source is accurately measured. The reason for this measurement is to ensure the proper management of this valuable resource. In past years water was drawn from a source and used whenever and wherever needed. But with the increasing demand on all water sources it became apparent that metering this precious commodity was the only way to ensure that it is used and distributed correctly.

Meter testing became as important as metering itself during this time as it became a tool for the water systems as well as these agencies to determine if the meters were accurate or if there was an unaccountability due to an accounting error, leak, pump inefficiencies, or an illegal cross-connection. Once the system determined the problem, actions could be taken to alleviate the discrepancy. This saved the water systems time and money and kept the entity in compliance.

The Avanti Company, realizing the importance of meter testing, decided to purchase a non-intrusive flow meter testing device. We purchased an ultrasonic test meter of the latest technology to compliment our product lines and services, and have added full-time, fully-equipped personnel to provide these services.
